In this vast landscape and with the flooding I can imagine the detour not being a short one George. Love the red tones against the blue sky. The signs are interesting with the road closure being temporary but the permanent one suggest to me there might be road issues here regularly?
It also surprised me that there are no distances on the board.

You are right of course George and the sign looks modern and impressive. Even without distances it does give a clear picture of the road conditions ahead. We might be used to seeing distances set out but our diversion signs can be pretty poor and badly marked with no idea of what lies ahead - which is generally a queue of traffic!!!!!
