Ninety Mile Beach

Ninety Mile Beach
The name suggests that this stretch of beach is ninety miles long. This view is looking east, the PiP shows the view to the west. Australia now uses metric numbers, so maybe it should now be called "One hundred and forty four kilometres" beach, but that doesn't sound as well. :-)

Great capture, George. There are some very long beaches in Australia, but 90 miles is REALLY long. Is that the one near Gippsland Lakes? We sailed on Gippsland Lakes (out of Metung) years ago but didn't go near the beach.
