Beautiful architectural image George.

Not the best day, George, but at least the tourists weren't cluttering up the view. I assume you went behind the facade. Bergen was interesting for me. Despite living in Stavanger for 5 years I'd never been there until I returned to Norway for a fortnight in 2014. Luckily I had a guided tour from a local who used to post on Panoramio.

These fronts are so beautiful ! Like the fassades very much, George !

Wow, George, this is such a beautiful street. The buildings are a lovely sight and your angle shows them off perfectly with a composition which includes super +/- space! :)

It's wonderful to see one of the fine pictures from your trip...I seem to recall you went to Iceland? Heh, pardon me if I'm not right, it's hard to keep everyone's travels in order, heh. I must try very hard to write about my own adventures before they drift away into a yarn-ball of mixed up memories! :D

Life is fabulous on the road, and no matter that we have some glitches along the way, it's all good!

We are looking forward to fishing again at our next stop if all works out, both of us are in love with the act of catching our dinner!

Beautiful colours, George. Are these the original facades and buildings?

As I understand it, these timber buildings have been damaged by fire a number of times over the years, but the earliest ones date from the early 1700s. Those damaged by fires have been rebuilt in the original style.
