Near the city

There can't be too many cities with cliffs nearby that are suitable for rock climbing and abseiling! After a day at work, it now seems a popular way for many to relax in Brisbane (see also the note). View large.

Thanks, Pam, they certainly have - and at night the cliffs (about 20M high and heritage listed) are now lit by floodlights.

Rock climbing seems to be very popular here, George. And the city looks very colourful. Did you get your abseiling gear out and give it a go? ;-)

It's certainly become very popular and is open to anyone through commercial operators. Actually that was where I learnt rock climbing, a great many years ago, when very few visited the cliffs. :-)
