Out of Queenstown
This road runs from Queenstown in Tasmania to the nearby mine at Mt Lyell, before continuing to Hobart and the east coast. I took the shot primarily because it shows at close hand how smelter fumes over the past century have cleared the vegetation, which would once have been lush, while the devastation has been made complete by heavy rainfall removing the soil from the bare earth.

Yes, the roads of Tasmania are great for motorcycles (and motoring enthusiasts in general) and we saw several large groups touring around.
