Marin and Sonoma
Wildflowers on the West Coast
Smells sweetly too.
Cow County
We now live in cow county. Having grown up in Switzerland, the sight and smell is very familiar ;-) Here, it's called "SonomaAroma."
Enjoy your weekend.
Apple Country
CLICK for a better view ...
Long before Sonoma became one of California's wine counties, it was known for its apple orchards, specifically Gravenstein. Some of the apple trees in this orchard are quite old, 90+ years, and still producing.

The western edge of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, offering a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.
Caught in Flight
sometimes getting "photo-bombed" is not a bad thing ... ;-) CLICK FOR THE LARGER VERSION.
Oak & Daisies
Spring coming to the wine country rather too soon IMHO
After the Drought, the Deluge
This was this morning, the water was much higher yesterday at its peak. Some places in the region got as much as 12 inches of rain ... a little too quickly.
A lot of wind too, so some trees came down. But not too much damage, overall, and we are grateful for the water!
