The temperature at Bangkok airport had been 34 C, here it was minus 15 C on my arrival.

I actually flew in an SAS Airbus 340 The temperature was 34 degrees C but not too humid.

These grow near to Mount Fuji.10 28 2006 Photographed near Lake Kawaguchiko. Cymbidium plants are sympodial and grow to a height of 60 cm and the racemes as high as 90 cm. The raceme grows from the base of the most recent pseudobulb. Each flower can have a diameter of 5 to 10 cm, according to the species. They bloom during the winter, and each plant can have up to fifteen or more flowers. The fantastic range of colors for this genus include white, green, yellowish-green, cream, yellow, brown, pink, and red [and orange] and black (and there may be markings of other color shades at the same time), but not blue. The flowers last about ten weeks. They have a waxy texture. The rounded sepals and petals have about the same dimensions.

Photographed 10 11 2009 at the Kabuto Shrine. This was one of several "Lion Dances" seen during this touring holiday. Here the ShiShi was coaxed up the ladder then down the other side, a chgallenge set by another ShiShi tamer. A ShiShi is the Mythical Lion-dog in Shinto Mythology. The ShiShi is here a skin with a Mask, inside there are two people usually men but I have seen this dance performed by girls.

You can see from this that I need to buy a lot of earth before I can even think about making a garden. July 02 1986. This and all other photos in this album were taken using Canon AF35 roll film camera until late 2005 when I purchased my first digital camera. The 35 mm rollfilm negatives were later converted ti digital by Agfa Labs Sweden.

This is of a flooded clay pit that was once used by the local Brick Factory. It is very close to the sea which is beyond the horizon. Taken in 1985 with a Canon AF 35 full automatic roll film camera using Agfa film. Converted to digital by my local photo expert.
