unusual slype arcade capital of c12, removed to south transept gallery. the plastic protection makes this difficult to see, but this seems to show a central owl like figure handing objects to the two naked figures at the sides, with another head looking on. the owl could represent the old dispensation of the jews, the figures could be adam and eve, but who knows. any ideas, anyone?
