original angel from the shallow porch around the main west door which dates from c.1430. the porch was once bigger; the entire west front has suffered from restoration and much is now about as mediaeval as disneyworld.

c16 glass in s.aisle ; scene in an inn, with a youth expounding visionary themes [shown in illuminated 'thought balloons'] to two older men. the left hand bright idea seems to feature a man with a halo, that on the right a man with a flowering rod. mr. s.k. of ipswich points out that this is joseph interpreting the dreams of the pharaoh's baker and cupbearer.
