the tower is c14, the rest of the exterior is by waterhouse, 1864-5, and looks a bit bleak. inside supposedly remain c13 arcades, though the church was locked and with no access details. kent is bad for church access generally.
c15 tower, much renewed c14 south aisle. church locked as usual, and no details as to where one could find a key. a big sign saying that the lottery and english heritage had funded repairs; surely if churches take our money they should at least lat us see what we are paying for ?
the splendid dragon wind vane of 1804 is topped by a crown, and has 4 legs: it should be compared with its brother (sister ?) vane at sittingbourne of 1834.
