?german glass added c.1838 to the east window, moved to the south aisle when the church was rebuilt. the story that this comes from the clerestory of cologne cathedral makes little sense to me -wrong dates- and the surrounds look english. the figures look german, but it is difficult to find german work of this period that looks quite like this; certainly the early c19 windows at cologne are much more pictorial, using enamels. without proof, I'd be loth to say that they definitely weren't english work, some of which at the period looked to german art for inspiration, especially to durer and the nazarenes, but I'm open to persuasion on the matter. I suspect yarrington C19
