bishops canning church

nave arcades transitional, still square abaci, but on the south the capitals are going from trumpet scallop to crocket, and the early clerestory has left traces above each pier. builiing seems to have gone from west to east here, the s.e.respond is later then the arcade, and the crossing arches are later still. there was a norman tower here in the way, of which bits remain. the roof is dated 1670
