shire hall, chelmsford

shire hall, chelmsford
the shire hall designed by john johnson in 1790, with coade stone details and reliefs by the elder bacon. to the left can be seen the church spire of 1749, now called the cathedral. johnson used the same coade stone reliefs later on his county hall in lewes, sussex, though the designs show slight modifications
