lambeth palace gatehouse

lambeth palace gatehouse
Archbishops' palace gatehouse built in c.1495 on the orders of archbishop Morton of fork fame. This fascinating group of buildings dating from the early C13 on remains a resolute example of our inaccessible heritage, only open for a few hours a year when the large queues can't be accommodated. Such places are private culture for the few, whilst often being supported by our money . 'To whosoever hath, to him shall be given' indeed.
