darenth church

darenth church
a c13 chapel was extended in the c14 and this arcade built on the south side of the saxon nave. these ugly candle holders wrapped around pillars are so tacky, break the lines of the architecture and should be thrust into the outer darkness, where there is gnashing of teeth etc.
