bicton old church, devon

the ruins of bicton old church contain in its s.e. chapel the mausoleum of the rolle family, done up by pugin in 1850. the tower is c13, the window tracery in two remaining aisle windows c15. the central window has been cut down to allow access in 1850: but the distinctly odd tracery pre-dates pugin, as both it and the s.e. chapel appear complete in a drawing of 1815, despite what the listing states. best guess would be early c17, though the big cusps are odd.
