this is the great hall of the archbishop of canterbury's london palace, a piece of our architectural heritage that is very difficult to access. you can queue for hours on open house day and still not get in: that's why this photo is taken over the wall. now if william burges' decoration of the chapel here hadn't been expunged by these religious philistines I'd really be upset at not being able to get in .bishops' palaces are one of the last great bastions of cultural selfishness left in the country.
