And of course, the Madras College can be seen here. The cleverest boy in Miss Grey's class, and no doubt in the classes in the Madras College, was called Gavin Brown. I used to sit next him at the back, in the streamed seating in class. mathshistory.st-andrews.ac.uk/Obituaries/Brown_Gavin_Scotsman

I am not sure, Amelia, I see Madras College in this image. Madras College is fenced off at the moment. The cathedral is fenced off too. Thanks for the link. I see Gavin Brown was dux of Madras College. He must have, indeed, been a clever boy. All the best, Joe
