Formerly The West Infant School

When I was young this playground seemed absolutely huge. I learned to knit in the West Infants, and the teacher was called Miss Brown. She played golf, and I knitted her a club cover. I wonder if the trees in the 'playground' are still lime trees? Have they removed the arch that leads into the school?

I have heard of Miss Brown. The other West Infant School teachers I have heard of are Miss Boyd, Miss Hogg, Miss Cook and, of course, the Infant Head Teacher, Miss Barnet.

The archway is still there.
