House in which John Logie Baird grew up
John Logie Baird was a Scottish engineer, innovator, one of the inventors of the mechanical television, demonstrating the first working television system on 26 January 1926, and inventor of both the first publicly demonstrated colour television system, and the first purely electronic colour television picture tube. Quoted from Wikipedia.

Oh how cool is that!! :D

At first I was like...hmmm...what's so special about this house? I mean, it's a well-composed shot. The house is pretty enough and I love how the tree's branches obscure a part of the house. But when I read the text, it all hit home. How cool to see this man's home. It is always very thought-provoking to look at a famous person's home (or something they are famous for) and picture their accomplishment and what they have meant for us. Nice. :) Thank you for the information!

Yes, Janet, this was the Reverend John Baird's house. This is where his son, John Logie Baird, grew up, and went on later to be a pioneer of television. Thanks for your very kind comment. All the best, Joe

A typical Scottish House, Joe. I wonder how J.L.B. would feel if he saw the clutter of TV aerials and satellite dishes everywhere?
