School group
This is a class photo of all the students of a one-room school house in western Kentucky from around 1913. I met and came to know many of these people -- as relatives and friends of my grandparents -- starting when they were 55 - 60 years of age. I probably knew a few more who I can't place at this age. My grandmother is in this group.

The one girl with the folded arms and the most serious look was my great aunt. She and the boy next to her were married for almost 50 years.

I like the big ribbons and bows here too.
