OMD - CRUSH

OMD - CRUSH
Art by Paul Slater.

A favorite album cover of the '80s. I split open the sleeve you see here and had it up on my wall for a long while. (The cover-overs of tape, ink and marker minimized the taking-care-of-business type.)

sea-herdorf, Marie-claire Gallet, , and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Oh yeah. That's a great one. When I took this to scan, someone asked who OMD was. I asked if they remembered If You Leave, and it fell right into place.

I saw them waaay back in the beginning when they were more Kraftwerk-like.
"Electricity", "Enola Gay", etc.
I kinda stopped following them when they got all 80's pop.
I remember Wall Of Voodoo opened for them which I thought was an odd match.
Remember them?
They had some minor airplay on the more underground stations with "Mexican Radio".

One of my favorite OMDs is their early tune Joan of Arc.

I loved Wall of Voodoo! Remember them well. That must have been some show.

Wall of Voodoo's big album has another really great tune on it you may know called Lost Weekend. If not, check it out.
