I was playing with 'Mirror Lab' Android application, and got some interesting results. On the main shot the trick is very simple and easy to do also with many other editors. Just exaggerate the perspective with perspective tool, and then add so called tilt and shift effect (blurred towards the edges).
Other creations made with Mirror Lab:
Edited with G'MIC for GIMP and LightZone.
On Q'MIC I found a little better tool to make perspective corrections than what GIMP provides. You can also run and test G'MIC online:

Here it finally comes: An overall view of the tower hotel I've been shooting during this year. I have tried several stitched panoramas with several cameras, and somewhat gave up. Then the "help" came from very surprising direction. I've been using Google Images service as a backup storage for my Android mobile phone camera shots, and they do give also automatic image enhancing services. Every now and then I get notices about them on my email, and usually I just ignore those messages. But this time Google did rather nice job with a series of vertical images I had taken with my phone camera. Not perfect, but surprisingly good. buildings are a little crooked, stitches are not perfect and the top of the tower is arched instead of being straight as in reality. But the main purpose becomes well fulfilled: The picture shows how the old roundhouses and office building are combined with the tower standing behind them. The conference rooms, restaurant and reception are in the old buildings, and hotel rooms and top floor bar in the high tower.
