Remove non member contributions

Remove non member contributions
Thanks to Rob it is now possible to remove the non member contributions with few clicks from the group you administrate. It may turn out useful if for some reason this is necessary.

That is likely to be very useful, especially with larger groups.

Yes, of course. But in life comes situations when one has to do extreme removals.

And especially groups where joining is required it may turn out difficult to clean up if member leaves but does not remove the images when leaving.

I've been thinking this a lot since the feature got implemented.

The general question is this:

Which is better. To give plenty of tools? Or give only the absolutely necessary?

In my opinion it is not bad to have plenty of tools. It is only the way they become used. And of course any tools should not become given to wrong hands. So, for example I do understand the objections to not show the link and number for non member contributions on the public group member page (e.g. here www.ipernity.com/group/2628132/network ).

But I think group administrators should have plenty of tools available, to even remove all non member's contributions at once if necessary. If someone uses the tools unwisely, that is then a different thing.

I would like to join you in thanking Rob.

This is an excellent tool that I have been eagerly hoping for and have addressed its absence a few times.
When doing much needed cleanups in the orphaned groups I have taken over, previously it was extremely time consuming to have to manually remove, one by one, sometimes hundreds of posts from many non-members who either were/are no longer active over a long period of time, or whose posts did not fit the group theme, or who, as you describe, have left the group but left their posts there.
