Macro lens experiment

Macro lens experiment
Testing how close I can get when using clip on macro lens and 1.2 times digital zoom. The effective focus range is extremely shallow, especially because the mobile phone camera always uses fixed f/2.0 aperture.

Have you noticed Europe is an archipelago on coins... ;-)

United archipelago of Europe so to speak:-)

The very shallow DoF with macro lenses is extreme, even when I use something like F/28 on mine! It's a matter of millimeters...I usually use live view with 10x magnification to get the sharpness where I want it and even then I have to discard some shots.

Same problem here! =D And for all who has tablet computer and uses modern DSLR that allows remote control display and shooting, I suggest using that combination! ;-)

Install the remote control app on your tablet, and you get much larger live view display to work with!
