Inspired by The Sunday Challenge 'Car'.
Original on notes. On GIMP editor I first used 'Polar Coords' to create an orb, then 'Lens Distortion' to "stretch" the orb to the corners. No need to crop or use any background to fill the "canvas" ;-)

And using them can cause even very very unpleasant surprises, if for example one accidentally removes some tool, and have to spend even hours to find out how to get it back!
But in a long run the option to use multiple layers and do something totally "manually" can be rewarding ;-)

Once you get hang of it, you can also try also something like x/y shift. Experimenting does the master ;-)
