"let me be your Main Man
let me be your Cowboy
let me do your Boogaloo
hmmm...what does this make me?
I see...then I'll be the Indian"
-Jane Siberry, Ingrid and the Footman
Inspired by TSC "Personal belonging", I took a shot of this chessboard I bought in 1990's. At that time I used to listen Jane Siberry because I found her lyrics fresh.
I guess at that time, as an young adult, I was seriously trying to form my understanding on what is black and white, east and west, north and south, friend and foe, a difference between good and bad. And the answer of course is somewhere between... Or depends on the point of view.
Technical challenge here was to use selective lighting and all the rest done "in-camera" (high contrast B&W).
