I suspect this is more likely to be a caterpillar nest Eunice, but I'm no expert. It's a really interesting shot though and nicely taken.

Thank you very much for your interest. Keith. However, I do think it is the nest of the New Zealand nurseryweb spider, having looked at the photos of both and from past experience in poking these nest webs. .
