Marksburg

Im Jahre 1219 wurde die Marksburg zum ersten Mal erwähnt.
Ihre heutige Form erhielt sie im 14. Jahrhundert.
Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wechselten rivalisierende Grafen als Besitzer.
Sie diente als Zoll und Mautstelle für die Rheinschifffahrt.
1945 wurde sie in Schutt und Asche geschossen.
Nach umfangreichen Restaurierungsarbeiten erhielt die Marksburg ihr heutiges relativ authentisches Bild

Wir waren unterwegs mit der "Goethe", dem alten Rheindampfer, Sunlight.
Von Baubach bis nach Rüdesheim, mit der Bahn wieder zurück.
In der Nähe der Anlegestelle gab es viele viele Parkmöglichkeiten.
Für Deinen Balkonblick bewundere ich Dich. Aber meiner war auch nicht so schlecht:
