I found this piece of flotsam on a beach in Brittany/France in 1992. It was a memorable vacation with my loved one. We were very happy to find out that she was pregnant. And this sign "EMBLEME" that I took home has become a most precious souvenir.

I also like to collect stuff that i found on some to me meaningful places,i have it in a big box on my attic,i call it "the box of apsurds" and after every item there is a nice story behind it.
From big ones(traffic signs) to small like little pins in a pillow.
Your box could be "emblematic".
