Bemerkenswert am Trakt der Amalienburg sind das Türmchen mit welscher Haube und die astronomische Uhr auf der Fassade. Im Zentrum des Hofs "In der Burg" der Wiener Hofburg, zwischen der Amalienburg und dem Schweizertor, befindet sich dieses Denkmal für Kaiser Franz I. von Österreich von Pompeo Marchesi aus den Jahren 1842 bis 1846. Die junge Münchnerin Isabella Müller hat folgende Details dazu recherchiert: Beide Brunnen haben Brunnenbecken aus rotem, schwedischen Granit. Ihr Bodenpflaster besteht aus böhmischen Granit. Die Felsen im Brunnenbecken wurden aus Lindabrunner Konglomerat und die Figuren der Brunnen aus weißem Laaser Marmor gefertigt. Der Brunnen „Die Macht zu Lande“ wurde von dem Bildhauer Edmund Heller 1897 im Stil des Neoklassizismus gefertigt.
