The red line was our route. We saw some bombing practice in the Chocolate Mountains as we drove along on the border of the gunnery range.
Indian Well (2274)

The Bradshaw Trail followed old Indian routes which went from water source to water source between Dos Palmas (east of the Salton Sea) to the Colorado River. Water sources were about a day apart for a foot traveler.
My GPS map identified two "Indian wells" not far off the road. This one was about 20 or 30 feet deep with rock-lined walls, so not a traditional Indian well.
