An unusual symbol to see on a greetings card

It is to our eyes today, however, I believe that the swastika had a much less sinister meaning when this card was sent and understand that its symbolism comes from way back in antiquity, more than 12,000 years back in history of many nations; thanks for commenting Tim.

Further info on this card: found the original: it is a printed Post Card, with the words 'all british W' where a stamp would be, but unfortunately no date on it and the printer's name has gone, only have - - - -h Manufacture Series W916/2 (first word is possibly 'British'?).
