What a lovely place!! I like to filter you used on this, makes it look quite artistic. I have fun using my suite of Topaz Labs filters, there are so many interesting effects and wonderful ways to enhance the image. I am a fan of isolating the subject, or in this case, I'd choose the clump of fabulous trees on the right, and putting them on their own layer in photoshop, which I would then play around with enhancing. But an overall filter works great too--the thing is that you can really make your image just the way you want it, by making part or the whole stand out. I used some filters on my picture today too, you'll notice! The spider is on its own layer, enhanced with one kind of filter. The background has an added texture and vignetting and an added wash of color. The power of filters is endless! And if anyone wants to give us grief, we can always say, "Hey, Ansel Adams used filters in his processing too!"

Finally, I love the shadows on the ground and your super composition, along with the enticing trail leading out of frame--you've got me thinking about so many places we visited on our trip! :)
