Condo construction well underway. Earlier photo, taken a year ago, can be found here. The front of the old tobacco auction warehouse will be part of the design.

..good

..just yesterday saw in the local paper that the Coffin Factory is being demolished
.. it is at least 100,000 sq ft ..old, yes .. but fantastic brickwork and wide plank floors
.. maybe, just maybe some salvage was done first
.. somehow, don't think so

.. somewhere I have photos of the round windows -- that of course aren't anymore
.. and the kicker --- no plans -- none -- so there will be an entire city block
.. all the history -
.. it is sad

I remember the original photo.

At the very least they will retain a smalll part of the history.

It will be interesting to see the next stage... (This kind of facade preservation is becoming more common in the UK, sometimes on a much smaller scale than your Liberty Condos.) Glad to see that despite, or perhaps because of, your feelings about the construction you have made a really good picture with the sweeping angles and things leaning in!
