HBM from Alexandra Gardens, Weymouth, Dorset. The building in the gardens that now houses an amusement arcade was once a theatre and on our yearly holidays in the town, my parents always took us to a show there. I used to leave my autograph book with them and pick it up the next day after many of the stars of that time had signed it. Unfortunately I do not have the autograph book now.

Sherborne ~ D'Urberville was formerly the base for the Somerset & Dorset Family History Society for nearly twenty years until their recent successful move to Yeovil. There was much evidence of the buildings former life, with old fireplaces, interesting windows and much more besides, often partly hidden by the necessary bookcases & computer stations. It has now been taken over and renamed D’Urberville, where vintage finds are on sale, together with a café on the top floor. Dramatic changes inside have revealed many beautiful original features.
