Wow,in deinen Hauptbild sieht man gar nicht diese Vergänglichkeit der Blüte liebe Rosa,es zeig die Blüte in richtiger Schönheit,mir gefallen die zwei verschiedenen Perspektiven und das du auch richtig nah ran warst und wie man sieht,hast Du und die Blüte auch noch Besuch von einen Insekt bekommen :))

That rose is such a gorgeous colour............and still looks quite lovely, even though it's past its prime. The image in the PiP is particularly beautiful.

By the way........I'm pretty sure your bee is a hoverfly :-)

This rose used to climb a rose arch, until 2 years ago the wind blew down the arch and snapped the rose at the root....but it grew again I am pleased to say, and show! Thank you very much for your kind comment Keith. I wouldn't argue about it being a hoverfly. I wasn't sure but named it as a bee because of the pollen sacs....I wasn't sure enough to use it in the title though :-))

ps we have been nurturing (almost) a small bee hive in our garden wall crevice only to discover the other day (after Eileen was stung) that they are a different kind of small (almost black) wasp.

Thank you very much Herb. Sorry to hear that Eileen was stung, ouch!! I haven't seen many wasps this year, but there are a couple of solitary bees in the house wall. It's interesting to see them fly in and out.
