Buddle Bridge ~ Lyme Regis

Buddle Bridge ~ Lyme Regis
Grade I Listed bridge, built in the 14th century and carries Bridge Street over the river Lym as it flows out into the sea. A little later and just around the corner from here I saw two pigeons making their home in the wall. Unfortunately I was too far away to get a clear shot but the PiP shows the moment a peacock butterfly tried to enter their home! It did survive after two missed pecks from the indignant pigeon!!

The bridge has a lovely gothic arch! Pigeons will nest anywhere, I'm glad the butterfly got away;-)

Great shot of the beautifully constructed bridge Rosa. I love the hint of light on the water back there in the darkness, nicely done. As other have said, lucky butterfly!

Enjoy your day, Doug

Splendid contrast between light and shadows. Special care of dark parts in which we can see some reflection of water.
All the best
