Preparing to make a big splash

This was a local swim/tennis club near our home in a suburb of Chicago. Someone came up with the idea of a pool club and in no time was able to sign up enough families to acquire the land and build and staff the place. It was packed with baby boomer kids most days of summer. We were sent off on our bikes with sack lunches and we'd return for dinner hungry and exhausted. The parents all felt the cost of membership was well worth the summer-long day care.
