Three women stand before a DISTINCTIVE HOUSE in the Vintage Photos Theme Park
My mother (L), stands with two friends in Waveland, Mississippi, 1942. They were guests of the homeowner near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. My mother's fondest memory of her week-long stay was attending dances with Army Air Corps cadets, training at nearby Keesler Army Airfield. It is unlikely that this house is still standing as hurricane Katrina came ashore there with a 26-foot storm surge, causing massive destruction and 50 fatalities in 2005.

I particularly like the dormers, and the central one with those long windows. Must have been such a pretty space inside,
The arched storm windows are also nice.
