A catalogue of nebulously inappropriate, vaguely unsettling, or bafflingly bizarre items.

Um, yeah, I'm pretty sure that God considers that blasphemy. You know, that whole thing about worshiping the creation in place of the Creator.

It appeared to be the same product, with different wrappers, and one version cut into shorter rolls.
No wonder Swedes seem so dour.
Questionable Billboard
| |
|
There were a bunch of billboards like this in Poland and Slovakia, using sex to draw attention to fundamentally unsexy products and services.
Unfortunately, this was my one opportunity to get a shot of one, and it happened to be a Thor lookalike selling valve jobs instead of the more common O-faced women selling brake service and red-stilettoed lady legs hawking building materials.
An interesting implication here is that there are enough female and/or gay male truck drivers in Poland to warrant this particular version of the marketing tactic.
I have no idea what the red billboard is hawking, but given the woman's facial expression while hugging the goat like a bagpipe the sexual overtones in this case may be disturbingly context-appropriate.

A bit of "Slovakrish".
I misinterpreted the first word as an adjective rather than an imperative verb, and laughed out loud in the middle of the ice cream shop.
Of course, I could be wrong about this. I mean, you *could* lose weight on such a regime. And it'd be a damn sight more fun than Crossfit.

Questionable Advertising

Okay, it's cute if you don't think about it too deeply. Unfortunately, there are those who will think about it even more deeply than that, and make a righteous That's Not Funny stink about "normalizing animal cruelty" and such.
Cute, funny...it's just not worth the shrieking insanity it will provoke.

Given what a pain in the ass it must be to sell this stuff without shitting yourself from laughing, I bet their sales are in the crapper.
Questionable Parking Job

I have no idea how this happened, nor how they did it without damaging either truck.

Airport propaganda from the pit bull cult.
The adoption of the language of the civil rights movement by every random cause is getting a little ridiculous.
Questionable Request

I struggled to imagine what they would want them for. Then I decided it was best not to know.

The attached description claimed it was the artist's expression in tangible form of her reaction to Donald Trump's election as President, done with found materials from her studio.
In other words, she pitched a tantrum and destroyed her living room because her candidate lost.
I first went to Vienna in 1995, and completely missed the Secession museum. Kicked myself for it for years. That meant it was on the top of my list for this visit.
Imagine my disappointment when I find inside not a museum dedicated to the Secession, or to Art Nouveau more broadly, but the usual "modernist" tripe by no-talent grifters whose work is closer to the crude figures and fingerpainting of a kindergarten art show than to anything the real Secessionists put out.
This is not art. This is garbage posed randomly and affixed with a pretentious and nonsensical "statement" explaining its faux-profundity.
