View from the hotel room. Yes, it's close to the old town...but about as far above it as it is laterally distant. Around 425 stair-steps above it, in fact. We had ample opportunities to count them.
"They said your luggage will be delivered at 8am."
(Three days late, two countries away from where it should have shown up.)
"But they said that there's a small tear down one side of it..."
(Which turned out to be a chunk the size of a small dinner plate missing from it.)
Surprisingly, nothing important was lost.
