Yellow Brimstone Butterfly

Yellow Brimstone Butterfly
In our garden in August 2019. It's the first time I've ever seen one and I couldn't believe my luck that it was in our garden.
Initially it was flying around with a cabbage white butterfly and I thought it was just another large white, as some of those have a deep yellow tint to them, but once it landed, I approached it and could see it was a completely different species. It's actually a green/yellow colour.

neira-Dan, J-d Welch, Marije Aguillo, Luc Reiniche and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you Kenny. It's the first time I'd ever seen this butterfly. I thought it might have been a foreign species, but I was surprised to see it is in fact a native one.
