Ready For Take Off? Maybe Not . . .

'Ladybird season' was short lived in our garden this year. Last year was scant as well, but during three very summerlike days we had last week, I was seeing around 3 of these a day.
This one was just one of very few obliging ladybirds that didn't immediately fly off. Despite how it looks, this one was running around on my finger with it's wings out, but never actually took off. It made up for all those which never gave me chance, and allowed me many interesting photo opportunities, so, more of this little one to come.
