HBM................Shibden Park

A large expanse of parkland with a lake, model railway, children's play area and cafe all within easy reach of the lower car park. Further up the park there is Shibden Hall a 600+ year old listed timber framed hall. A little higher and a trip through a short tunnel will bring you to Cunnery Wood, newly planted woodland in the area formerly known as the Halls kitchen garden. Clik on photo

HWW................Gargrave

St Andrew's Church is the center of worship in the ancient parish of Gargrave (Church of England). Gargrave is mentioned in the Doomsday book (ca 1086) but was probably a place of worship before then. Fragments of Anglo-Saxon crosses (likely 9th and 10th centuries) were found during the rebuilding of the church and are currently on display in the church.
