Gentle giant - World Photography Day - Photo #4

Gentle giant - World Photography Day - Photo #4
I am always drawn to the huge green leaf that the magnolia tree in my yard produces each year. It is a deciduous version of magnolia and the leaf is light and airy but very large. It reminds me that we can be kind and strong at the same time. That the winds of the world may blow us around but we can remain plain and simple, but beautiful.

Roger Bennion, Ronald Stachowiak, Günter Klaus, Au Cœur... diagonalhorizon and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Lovely words and most appropriate. By coincidence I have been taking a few leaf pictures of late but none are as good as your leaf photo, Laura. Beautiful light and gorgeous colour. Super detail. Think I may look at mine again and see if I can improve any using photo software.
Thank you for all your hard work with World Photography Day, Laura.
Regards, Roger.

Thank you. I'm so glad you like it. And glad my words also work for you. My husband is the word man, and it's only on this special day's even that I write up information about my photography/photograph in such detail.

It's always good to 'process' photos. I don't mean major changes (though those can be fun as well), but enough to bring out what it was you saw when you took the photo. Curious to see what you do.

And you're welcome - I really enjoy this event!
