Une fougère intéressante ; Polypodium cambricum
et de l'Oxalis

It's actually a baby sword fern (Polystichum munitum), native to western north america. I think it's very close to a Polypodium cambricum. And I thought the other plant was Oxalis, but upon closer inspection the leaves are different. I haven't figured out what it is yet. Do you have any other ideas? Probably another native to western north america.

Oh the alps! That would be a treat. I've been to the swiss alps once and did a bit of hiking. All my fingers are crossed for you!!

Gottseidank ist Wandern zur Zeit hier noch möglich. Leider kommt jetzt die kalte und nasse Jahreszeit; aber wir hoffen auf ein paar schöne Tage, um uns ein bißchen in der Natur zu bewegen und uns an der schönen Landschaft zu erfreuen. Gestern war ein solcher Tag und wir haben eine schöne lange Tour gemacht. Dein Bild gefällt mir sehr !

We can hike here as well, but I don't have anyone to go with (since I'm isolating and my husband isn't interested and can't walk that far). But I do get to see my mother's woods each week. It is a fir forest of 1 1/2 acres. It's lovely.

A lovely selection of greenery Laura, being a photographer you see a lot more when you are walking always searching for another shot. I sometimes watch people they look but don't see !!

Thank you. And yes, sometimes it's hard for me to get any exercise because I'm always stopping to photograph something - ha! It's been that way for me for forever. My mother is an artist and was a photographer who taught me at a very young age. I miss the darkroom! I loved printing photos (I left film development to others - too nerve wracking.)

Thank you. I see this everytime I go through my mom's woods to get her mail. Not a deep woods experience, but a fir forest full of beauty none the less.

I've never actually hiked in the Olympics! I've done a chunk of the Pacific Crest Trail here in Oregon - many many years ago. It is a favorite memory of mine waking up to Mt. Jefferson taking up the entire horizon outside my tent!

I don't have anyone to hike with right now since I'm isolating. Hope you get to get out sometime.

I've never hiked the Pacidfic Crest Trail myself but it sounds wonderful!
