thank you! it was peaceful to be there. a calm spot along our main river, the Willamette, that oddly runs south to north (not many river do!). it runs through our entire valley which is about 120 miles long.

Lovely scene and a reminder of better times.

We've been to Oregon often but never to this area. Must add it to our list.

This is from a sweet little boat launch and park called Hebb County Park on the north side of the river. I had never been to it before, though I've been across the Canby Ferry many times over the years since I was little. My mother and I were going for a drive to get her out of her dark woods - thought we'd go on the ferry (which has her maiden name initials, M.J.Lee) - and happened upon a sign to the park. No people were about and we got to just hang out and take in the river. I was happy to see the frerry crossing. never seen it from a distance before.

I highy recommend the ferry, though it's just a very very short simple ride. And this park location shows off the river beautifully. I'm honestly amazed that it isn't built up more. There are houses all around, but they are far apart and the woods and natural areas remain along the river in the section.
