Grjótagjá (II)

Grjótagjá (II)
Grjótagjá is a small lava cave near lake Mývatn in Iceland, famous for featuring a geothermal hot spring in its depths. In early times people used the warm bath. But during the lava eruptions from 1975 to 1984 the temperature of the water rose to more than 50 °C (122 °F). Now the temperature is slowly decreasing.
When taking photos, the light in the dark lava cave came from torches ... View from the direction of the right entrance.
