This is my old tree. My first artificial tree. When I bought it many years ago, I felt like a Christmas tree traitor. So I stripped the bark off a log, glued it to a large diameter cardboard tube and slipped it over the base to make it look more real. Once I started decorating and I realized I could bend and reposition branches to show off ornaments better, I came to love it.
